The black cat syndrome refers to a very common situation animal shelters find themselves in when they have to take care and give away cats to perspective owners. Because black cats have been for a long time associated with bad luck (remeber never to cross a street when a black cat just crossed it first?) and how movies have perpetuated such an idea as well as the ever present black cat on Halloween decorations everywhere, these poor animals find themselves unwanted and left behind. I have a very close affinity for cats in general and black cats in particular, as a person who’s always felt (and made to feel) unwanted, outcast, someone to stay away from or hurt and shove off. My life is a Black Cat Syndrome story.

It’s been months now since my decision to adopt self-seclusion from the rest of the world and especially from all “male species”. Photographer Justin Monroe has been on my radar for many years and I believe he’s one of the greatest photographers in conveying male erotica in such a way that is beyond pure nude men but an art in its own right.
